IMEE Made/ Scanning

3D Scanning / Reverse Engineering

If the part doesn't exist as a file, I'll build the file.

I scan and reverse-engineer discontinued, broken, and one-off parts into CAD you can actually manufacture — for shops, restorers, and makers who are done hunting for parts that don't exist anymore.

What I do

3D Scanning

On-site or drop-off scanning of parts, assemblies, and tooling. Good for documentation, reference geometry, and capturing anything you don't want to disassemble twice.

Reverse Engineering to CAD

Turning scan data (or a worn/broken part) into clean, editable CAD you can actually modify, re-manufacture, or hand to a machine shop.

Fabrication-Ready Files

Files prepped for 3D printing, CNC machining, or sheet metal fab — not just "technically an STL," but checked for wall thickness, tolerances, and manufacturability.

How it works

01

Submit your project

Fill out the quote form with what you need and any reference photos. I follow up within 24–48 hours to schedule a design consultation call.

02

Design consultation call

A paid 30-minute call to go over the part, the tolerances, and what's realistic. We finalize scope, timeline, and cost, then sign off before anything's booked.

03

Scan & reverse-engineer

I capture the geometry with the EINSTAR 2 and rebuild it into clean, manufacturable CAD — fixing scan noise and adding what a scanner can't capture (threads, tolerances, wall thickness).

04

Review, approve, deliver

A deliverable consultation call to walk through the files before you sign off. Once approved: final invoice, full asset handoff, and we're done.

Why work with me

  • Hands-on mechanical engineering and welding background — I understand how parts actually get made, not just how to trace a mesh.
  • Real automotive restoration and fabrication experience, built in public documenting builds like a full EV conversion.
  • I deliver CAD that's actually editable and manufacturable — not a raw, unusable scan mesh.
  • Based in Los Angeles, with on-site scanning within 30 miles and shipping anywhere — most projects go from intake to delivered files in about a week.

Have a part that needs to exist as a file?

Tell me what you've got and what you need it for — I'll tell you straight whether scanning or reverse engineering is the right approach.
