Every year we celebrate our wedding anniversary with a camping trip, a cherished escape from city life. During the pandemic, available campsites were limited, and the one we booked had no running water access.
We typically carried several gallons of water for washing and drinking, but wanted a better solution to cut down on plastic waste. The fix: repurposing a weed sprayer bottle combined with a kitchen sink sprayer into a portable rinse station.
Materials needed
2-gallon weed sprayer, sink sprayer assembly, ¼ NPT to barb fitting, Teflon tape.
Overview
This is a simple build. Minimal tools, about an hour to put together. Once assembled, the portable rinse station works great for camping, beach trips, surfing, or any other outdoor adventure that leaves you needing a rinse.
We documented the full assembly process in a video on our YouTube channel if you want to see the build step by step.
