Making Strut Tower Bar for our Honda Beat

Since the car is a convertible, it experiences considerable chassis flex. Although it's used primarily for daily errands and weekend drives, we decided to enhance chassis rigidity with this straightforward strut brace project. The modification successfully stiffened the vehicle and helped reduce squeaking when navigating bumps and hills.

Materials used

6061 aluminum plate (0.25"), ½" heim joints, 1" ID steel tube, ½" steel nuts, M12 bolts, M12 nuts, self-etching primer, flat black spray paint, 1K clear coat.

Notes

A downloadable template is available for other Honda Beat owners interested in building their own version of this strut bar.
